What they say:

How Do You Voodoo? Loveless fashion model Nola Nichols thinks being beautiful is a curse; that is until she is cursed and her looks begin to fade just a week before the most important photo shoot of her career. In her attempts to get uncursed she finds herself taking part in a rather unconventional funeral, involved in a voodoo ritual, reveals one or two unrests in her own past and falls madly in love with a doctor. Erm, that would be a witch doctor, right…?

Voodoo Wedding The voodoo isn't over for Nola! Loved up fashion model Nola and her handsome Haitian fiancé Louis have finally set the date for their wedding. All they need now is a venue and a guest list, but before Nola can have the wedding of her dreams, she has to deal with something old, something new, something borrowed… and something voodoo!

Voodoo Child In ‘Voodoo Child’, ex-celebrity UK fashion model Nola and her handsome Haitian husband Louis are expecting their first baby. But as one precious life begins another is about to end. Louis’s beloved old Uncle Sid is dying and has declared his last wish is to see Louis and Nola’s new baby baptised on St John’s Eve – the most important event in the voodoo calendar. The voodoo isn't over for Nola or for Louis!

What I Say:

I would like to thank CandleLitAuthorServices and Janice Horton for sending me copies of these books in exchange for a fair and honest review.

How Do you Voodoo?

When we first meet Nola she is on a flight back from the Caribean and is disturbed by another passenger, Nola behaves like a complete diva.  She wakes up having lost her tan, having problems with her hair and my miss out on a photo shoot the will sky rocket her career.

Nola goes in search of the woman who cursed her and instead finds her handsome son Louis, they go on journey to Scotland to try to lift Nola's curse.

This is a great short story from Janice, I couldn't help but like Nola even though at times she is selfish and a proper diva.  Louis is respectful of his mothers beliefs, even though he doesn't believe the same things.

Louis and Nola grow close on their journey and then have a disagreement.  Can Nola forget Louis and get on with her life?

Voodoo Wedding
Voodoo wedding is set twelve months after the first book, Nola and Louis are all loved up and planning their wedding.  Louis wants a quite wedding but Nola intends to invite all his family.

I really enjoyed how Janice wrote about Louis family and their customs and beliefs even if Louis doesn't believe any if it.

I guess there is a message to this book, that even when you try to please everyone else, you should really do what you want on your wedding day.

Voodoo Child

In this third book in the series it is now twelve months since Nola and Louis wedding. Nola is heavily pregnant with their first child when she receives a call from Louis relative who advises her that the birth will be short so she needs to be prepared.

Is it all rubbish? Of course not,  this wouldn't be another story in this brilliant series about Voodoo if it didn't come up a time or two.  Nola and Louis then find themselves in New Orleans and in the middle of all the magic and voodoo that his family believe in.

These are short but great books and I'm so pleased I got to read them all together, Janice's writing is again brilliant, drawing into you the story of Nola and Louis, also that of his family.

Theyre brilliant reads that I would recommend to anyone wanting something a little different.
