Jude is the lead singer of The Blood Roses but all is not well in the rock band. Jude has turned into an ass and is putting on the big 'I Am' act as well as neglecting his girlfriend Carrie.
In this story Nicky retells A Christmas Carol in a Rock Star way. It's brilliantly written and really enjoyable. It's a great festive read and I found myself wanting to watch A Muppets Christmas Carol again (sorry but this really is my favourite version of A Christmas Carol).
Jude is basically a nice guy who has let the bright lights of stardom blind him to what is important in his life. I loved how the book flows never stretching out scenes and leaving you guessing who the ghost of past, presence and fu (future) as it hasn't been written yet, are.
I found myself liking Jude even though at the beginning he really isn't a nice person.
I love Nicky's books and I can't wait for her next one.
