Just You

What They Say:

'#2 in the Starting Our Series. A sequel to the best selling novel I Found You
Don't judge a person until you really know them...

The morning after the New Year's Eve before...

Waking up to a new year with a killer hangover and hazy memories of a seriously hot hook-up the night before leaves Portia in an awkward situation... Did I, or didn't I? The only way she's going to find out is by standing up to the guy in question.

With no regrets, Justin is willing to play the gentleman and save Portia her embarrassment. Only then he gets a text saying, come over... and he's not gonna lie - this is friends with a lot of benefits!
But no matter how good the sex is, there's one thing Justin's not down with: being this shallow rich girl's secret..'.

What I Say:

I would like to thank BestChicklit and Jane Lark for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for and fair and honest review.

When we first meet Portia she is a little hungover from the New Year’s Eve Party the night before, unsure of what happened and not wanting to face up to what she may have done she decides to ignore the situation until she goes back to work (I’m sure we have all done this at some point in our lives).

Justin can’t believe what happened at the party with Portia and determined to have no regrets he is a gentleman that doesn’t kiss and tell.

Jane writes the book form both Portia and Justin’s point of view so you get a real feel of how they feel about each other.  They say don’t judge a book by its cover but as this shows you shouldn’t judge a person by the persona they present at work.

Portia and Justin are characters from the opposite ends of the social spectrum. Portia has rich parents, Justin lived in the rough part of town, but are they really so different under the make up and bravado, I’m not going to tell you, I would suggest you read the book to find out.  At the end of the day what is it that makes us happy, money? Family?  Each character is different but each has their secrets and things they aren’t happy with.

Jane has created a story you can easily get caught up in and not want to put down until the end, it is fast paced with a little bit of sauciness added in.  I loved this book so much; I’m going to have a readathon of Jane’s books.

5 out of 5 stars

Author Bio:
Unknown-445

Jane is qualified to the equivalent of a Masters Degree in People Management and is fascinated by the things that craft people’s personalities, so she has great fun exploring these through characters. She lives in the United Kingdom near the Regency City of Bath and has just bought her 400 year old dream home. History has always tempted her imagination and she loves researching and also exploring ruins and houses to get ideas. She equally loves a love story. Jane has always aspired to writing a historical novel so when she was thirty she put it on her ‘to do before I am forty’ list. She completed her first novel ten years ago, never sent it anywhere then started the next. She’s not stopped writing since, and escaping into a mental world of fiction is a great painkiller to help fight off her Ankylosing Spondylitis.
