Spring in Chelsea – will love blossom?

What I Say:

This is another book in the #LoveLondon Series and I will give a fair and honest review.

Sofia is visiting her mums friends daughters in London, but they aren't like Sofia who is down to earth and they also live in the posh part of London.  Sofia trying to fit it puts on a post accent and here she meets Nathan, Nathan despises the socialites that frequent the bar as they think they own him. It really is a case of when two worlds collide with Sofia, Tori and Christie.

In Tori and Christie's favourite bar Sofia meets the hot bar man Nathan, he mistakes Sofia for one of the usually Chelsea princesses, Nathan can't help but be drawn to Sofia.

I loved the flirting between Sofia and Nathan and this story is really lovely.  They both have the hots for each other but neither will take the step forward. This is a another short fun read that can easily be devoured within an hour.  This book is one of my favourites in the #LoveLondon series.

But life has a way of being less than perfect … Will he be left standing on his own on the most romantic day of the year?

What I Say:

Again this is one that was in my TBR pile and I will give a fair and honest review.

Georgiana is really struggling after being tragically injured and scared in a car crash, I can understand her reluctance to go out with her scars as I have one myself that makes me very self conscious by it is nowhere near the same.

Her mum is trying to get her back out into the world again and buys her a dog, she forced to take him for walks and this brings a whole new lease of life for her, especially when she meets Leo.  Georgiana is conscious of people looking at her but in Leo she finds someone who looks past her scars.  He is caring and never pushes her and she finds she starts to trust him.

I've got to say I cried when I read this one as it all felt too personal.  I loved Leo and always hoped he was doing what he was for the best reasons and not because of the silly bet with his friends.

What I Say:

This is book is not one of my review books, but as always I will give a fair and honest review.  Right now I'm struggling concentrating on anything that is long to this series is perfect.

Nikki introduces Frankie a few days before New Year when she goes to get her hair cut, with no plans for New Year she agrees to meet up with friend until she receives a note for a treasure hunt. With no other plans Frankie is intrigued as the treasure hunt takes her to a high end car dealer, to have her hair and make up done and a brand new dress, this all leads to the writer of the note at the Ritz...

I liked Frankie from page one and loved following her on the treasure hunt.  Nikki's writing made me feel like I was following her along and I loved the memories inserted of Frankie and colleague Zack.  

This really is a festive/New Year feel good read and I could wait to read the next book in the love london series.

Jo's Review - Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist by Kay Marie

What I Say:

I would like to thank the publisher for approving me to read the book on NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The book opens when Skye is dashing back to her apartment to tell her flat ate about her new job as a sex columnist, the only problem being Skye is inexperienced.  Skye thinks she is talking to Bridget but it turns out to be her brother, cue the first embarrassing scene in the book and this sets the tone.

I loved Kay's writing and it really went along at a great pace as we followed Skye's dating adventures.

I loved Skye's madcap flatmate Bridget and who couldn't help but love Ollie.  I loved following Skye's adventures even when she started dating her work colleagues brother that didn't go down well with Blythe or Ollie.

Would Skye be outted as a virgin? Would she make it up with Ollie? These were the questions I kept asking myself as I was reading.  Looking forward to book two to find out what Sky gets up to next.

Jo's Review - Drive Me Crazy by Portia MacIntosh

It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime...

In reality it was a business trip, prettied up as a romantic mini break, but the man behind the wheel was meant to be Candice Hart’s boss and (married but separated, I swear!) lover. Not Danny the new guy!

Not only is Candice faced with a new driver, but the office’s far too handsome hipster expects her to share the cramped space inside his “fully” restored VW Beetle, aka The Love Bug, and put up with his constant opinions about her life…

Before long she is tired of playing the ‘good girl’ and, with Danny’s help, is determined to finally show the world the real Candice Hart!

What I Say:

When we first meet Candice she is having an affair with her boss who has told her he is with his wife for appearances only (sound familiar),  they are all set to go on a romantic business trip around the country, but things don't go to plan.  Will is the ultimate controlling make and when Candice finds out he has been lying all along, she decides to make him pay by taking and the new IT hottie Danny.

I've got to say I love Portia's writing and u knew that she work have me giggling away in no time, this story helped me forget and laugh for awhile during one of the toughest weeks of my life.  Portia's books guarantee a laugh out loud read and I wasn't disappointed with this one.  

I loved Candice as a main character, even though she was trying to be something she wasn't ie, What she thought Will was looking for and what Will wanted her to be.  Danny to show her who she really should be, but underneath she was struggling due to the factors in her life. 

Danny I loved, he was fun, charming and incredibly sweet.  The only downside was his man bun, no just no, this is so wrong on so many levels, but if you look past this and for me I wanted to get the scissors out to give him a hair cut, he's hot.

I loved the escapades that Candice and Danny get up to in his battered Beatle called 'the love bug'.  Candice learns a whole new side to herself by spending time with Danny.  I won't go into their escapades as that will spoil the book for anyone else but it's safe to say this is a fantastic jaunt across the UK.

The first thing I will mention is the gorgeous cover, I love all Aven's book covers but I think this is one of the best ones.

This is the first in a brand new series of hockey hero's from Aven, based around the Chicago Buffaloes Ice Hockey Team.  

We first meet Aubrey when she is dashing off to an interview, but being a little bit dizzy she is running late and literally runs into a hot hockey hero in the shape of Chicago Buffaloes Captain Beckett Riley.  As first impressions go, I think Aubrey created one one of the most unusual ones with Beckett by accusing him of being a serial killer.

What I love about Aubrey is that she has a set of rules that she lives by but she she is also like every other girl who loves fries and a bit like me she has no filter for what she says this makes for some serious laugh out loud moments in this book.  She thinks her life is set but when she meets Beckett she begins to realise that you can't live your life by rules. 

Beckett is shy and quiet, yeah he is hot and I mean really hot, but he is also vulnerable he thinks no one would like him for the person he is underneath and then he is the total opposite the what he is like when he plays hockey.  For me I love all Aven's hero's my part of my top five book boyfriend already included ️Nate (swoon) and Harrison, but Beckett has shoved Harrison down the list, never fear Aven even treats us to a snip from both Nate and Harrison.  

I also love the way Aven writes her characters the banter and flirting between Aubrey and Beckett is fantastic including the nickname she gives him of Captain Smart Ass.

The great thing about Aven's books are that they are all sweet and really romantic in parts but also they make you smile.  Add in a sassy heroine and a sexy hero and you have the perfect combination in a book for me and find that the more I read from Aven the more I love her books and always look forward to the next one and I can say the next in this series is going to be another hottie.

Aven Ellis has been writing fiction since she was sixteen. She studied communications at a large Midwestern university, and after graduation, Aven worked as a reporter for a community newspaper, followed by a stint at a public relations agency.

But writing about city council meetings and restaurant franchises was not as much fun as writing for young women trying to figure out their careers and potential boyfriends.
