Review - Ablaze (Indestructable Series Book 2) by Emma L Adams

Two years ago, the fiends invaded Earth. Two months ago, I joined the Pyros, a group of warriors with astonishing powers, to fight the monsters that destroyed our world.

But then I found out they were keeping secrets from me. Jared, the sadistic scientist who betrayed them, has captured my ally, who’s linked to me through a blood-connection that’s slowly killing us both. To get him back, I have to leave my new friends and face the wilderness alone. But Jared’s not the only threat out there. The fiends are moving, forces stir on the other side of the divide, and if Jared’s plan succeeds, it’ll spell disaster for our world.

And that’s if the dark transformation in my blood doesn’t kill me first.

Ablaze is the heart-pounding sequel to Indestructible.

I would like to thank Author Emma Adams for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

When I saw Emma was asking reviews for this book I couldn't wait to dive back into this series after the heart pounding fast pace of the first book, I was dying to fall back into the is dystopian world and find out what had happened to Leah, Cas and the others.

This starts a few days after the last book ended and Leah is struggling to get to grips with everything she learned about herself and Earth in the first book.  Then she realises Cas has been captured by the evil Jared.

There are so many twist and turns in this book that I read it in two sittings (work got in the way of it being one sitting).  I just had to find out what happened, this is fast paced right from the very first chapter.  Although at times I did feel a sense of Deja Vu and felt some of the scenes could have been cut.

A brilliant second book in the series and again Emma blindsided me with parts of the plot that would sneak up with a bang.

Emma writes edgy urban fantasy and young adult novels, including the Changeling Chronicles, the Alliance series, the Darkworld series and the Indestructible trilogy. She lives in the middle of England, but dreams of exploring the Multiverse. When she's not immersed in her own fictional worlds, Emma works as a freelance editor and proofreader and reads an improbable number of books.

Cover Reveal - Summer at the Cornish Cafe by Phillipa Ashley

Demi doesn’t expect her summer in Cornwall to hold anything out of the ordinary. As a waitress, working all hours to make ends meet, washing dishes and serving ice creams seems to be as exciting as the holiday season is about to get.
That’s until she meets Cal Penwith. An outsider, like herself, Cal is persuaded to let Demi help him renovate his holiday resort, Kilhallon Park. Set above an idyllic Cornish cove, the once popular destination for tourists has now gone to rack and ruin. During the course of the Cornish summer, Demi makes new friends – and foes – as she helps the dashing and often infuriating Cal in his quest. Working side by side, the pair grow close, but Cal has complications in his past which make Demi wonder if he could ever truly be interested in her.
Demi realises that she has finally found a place she can call home. But as the summer draws to a close, and Demi’s own reputation as an up and coming café owner starts to spread, she is faced with a tough decision . . .
A gorgeous story exploring new beginnings, new love and new opportunities, set against the stunning background of the Cornish coast. Phillipa Ashley has written a feisty, compelling heroine who leaps off the page and encourages you to live your summer to the full.

About Ellen Faith

Ellen lives in the wonderful county of Yorkshire, England where she spends most of her time baking, eating, baking, and eating. Occasionally she does leave the house to go to the cinema or do some food shopping though. After spending years with an overactive imagination, she decided to put all the magic in her head to some good use and put finger to laptop where The Story of Us was born and became her debut novel. She loves to travel, her favourite destinations so far have all been in America, hence the love of all things, and all people, American. The food rocks pretty hard too, she ate until her jeans begged her to stop whilst she was there. True fact. Aside from day dreaming and eating, Ellen is a sucker for a lolcat, penguins and monkeys - she has never claimed to be normal.

Cover Reveal - Stripped Bare by Emma Hart

  Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000037_00035]

When unlucky in love Mia O'Halloran finds herself face to Sex God V-Lines with a chiseled, hot male stripper in possession of a

package not even the postal service could lose, what happens in Vegas is definitely supposed to stay in Vegas.
She doesn't expect to find Mr. Multiple Oh-Oh-Oh as her client—and hell, how is she supposed to pitch a marketing plan when she can remember how easily he briefed her g-spot on an orgasm... or five?
West Rykman has one rule: you don't mix business with pleasure. They can look, but unless they're shoving a dollar inside his pants, they can't touch. He learned that lesson the hard way two years ago.
He had no idea the flame-haired vixen with a penchant for hot, kinky sex and a mouth that would make a hooker cry would be the one to bend—and break—his rule.
She's sworn off men after ten too many heartbreaks.
He's determined he'll never lose it all for a woman again.
She's pretty screwed.
He's really screwed.
And not in the we're-not-sleeping-tonight way...

By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies - usually wine - and writes books.
Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.
She likes to be busy - unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.

Blog Tour & Review - The Night That Changed Everything by Laura Taitand Jimmy Rice

Rebecca is the only girl she knows who didn't cry at the end of Titanic. Ben is the only man he knows who did. Rebecca’s untidy but Ben doesn’t mind picking up her pieces. Ben is laid back by Rebecca keeps him on his toes. They're a perfect match.

Nothing can come between them. Or so they think.

When a throwaway comment reveals a secret from the past, their love story is rewritten.

Can they recover from the night that changed everything? And how do you forgive when you can’t forget?

The Night That Changed Everything is a funny, feel-good and bittersweet story, told in alternate chapters by Laura Tait and Jimmy Rice.

I would like to thank transworld publishing for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I don't know where to start with my review so will start with the intriguing cover, it's so eye catching and had me dying to read the blurb.

I love how this book is told from both Ben and Rebecca's POV via alternate chapters, it really kept me intrigued and turning each page.

I don't want to give to much away about the story but it's about relationships and friendships.  The crux is how things can change in the blink of an eye when a secret is revealed.

Unusually this story isn't about how Ben and Rebecca get together, although this is revealed in the story.  It's about how they split up and the impact it has on them and their friends.

I think because it's written by two different authors try mange to get into the head of each character, which is very hard unless you know them inside out and clearly both these authors do.

A fabulous read and I will be reading more from the authors.

Jimmy and Laura became friends while studying journalism at Sheffield University, so sitting in pubs talking about life and love is something they’ve been doing for the last ten years. Now they write it all down, but little else has changed. Jimmy still tells Laura off for always being late, and Laura can still drink Jimmy under the table. Their friendship survives because Laura makes tea exactly how Jimmy likes it (he once took a picture of his perfect brew on Laura’s phone so she can colour match is for strength) and because Jimmy noted Laura’s weakness for custard creams and stocks up accordingly. Laura works as a journalist for Shortlist and Jimmy is a news journalist.
