Christmas Quiz by Debbie Johnson

The Big, Happy Harper Christmas Quiz!

In my latest book, Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Jumper, our hero and heroine are forced to spend endless nights together in over Christmas following a cycling accident.

As our leading man, Marco Cavelli, is the funniest, kindest, most gorgeous-est (yes, I made that up) man in the world, that’s not too much of a hardship for seamstress Maggie. He even accompanies her, on crutches, to the weddings of loved-up brides she’s created dresses for.

Mainly, though, theirs is a friendship that develops at home – watching TV, chatting, playing games, and eating pizza under the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree, looking out at a snow-bound Oxford from their window.

I like to imagine them watching Christmas movies, listening to Christmas songs, and making the most of their enforced captivity. I love nights in over Christmas myself – they’re sometimes just as good as a party! As a family we play a lot of board games, and enjoy puzzles, word games and quizzes. It may not be cool, but I always believe in that saying: people who play together stay together.

So when I was asked to come up with a post to celebrate Happy Harper Christmas for the lovely Jo at Comet Babe Books, I thought a sparkling Christmas quiz might be just the ticket. So, get your thinking hats on – and if they have reindeer antlers, all the better – and enjoy the Happy Harper Christmas Quiz!

You’ve seen Mark Darcy in his reindeer jumper, now meet Marco Cavelli in this season’s Christmas knit!
For single mum Maggie, Christmas has always been a family occasion – her daughter Ellen filling the house with her bubbly warmth and mistletoe, her dad Paddy having one too many festive tipples, and the traditional family Christmas tree looking like a drunken elf vomited a rainbow all over it.
But this year, with both Ellen and Paddy away for the holidays, Maggie’s facing a truly blue Christmas – alone with nothing but a bottle of Baileys and an M&S turkey dinner.
Until walking the snowy streets of Oxford, Marco Cavelli quite literally crashes into her life – and, complete with broken leg, becomes her unexpected house guest. All dreamy brown eyes and 6’5” of gorgeousness, the man is hotter and more delicious than a freshly baked mince pie.
Though Maggie always thought it’s a truth universally acknowledged that you never kiss a man in a Christmas jumper?

  1. Oh boy. I'm not even going to TRY on that Christmas quiz, lol. I never realized how much of a Christmas spirit ran through the book blogger community until this season descended on us. I'm finding out so much about what I should be reading, watching, listening to, and DOING this season to embrace the Christmas spirit though, and it is great :D
