Dirty Talk by Jane O'Reilly

Amy can’t believe she’s let herself be bullied into a write off with the odious Dave. Now she needs to produce twenty pages of a story by next Friday – the content is to be of a very particular nature!

Fortunately Amy has an advantage: she’s a secret – and voracious – reader of erotica and she knows just what turns her on! But when it comes to putting her own words down on paper embarrassment and nerves have left her with a severe case of writers block…

Enter her good friend Phil. While she’s always thought him too sexy to be true her crippling shyness has held her back. But with Phil as her willing muse, Amy’s reality is suddenly more erotic than any fantasy…
I would like to thank Carina UK for auto approving me to read this book on NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Shy bookstore owner Amy is tricked by her friends vile boyfriend into a competition on who can write the best erotic story.  Amy loves erotic stories but she has a problem her experience is very limited and she struggles writing the story.

As with all of Jane's stories it isnt just the erotic part that makes these so great she really takes care to make the reader understand her heroines and I really liked Amy.  I loved that her friend Phil wanted to help her out and that he became her muse.  There are some really great scenes between the pair and I was willing Amy to prove Dave wrong and prove that shy girls really are not to be underestimated.

Another fantastic short erotic story.

Jane O'Reilly started writing as an antidote to kid's TV when her youngest child was a baby. Her first novel was set in her old school and involved a ghost and lots of death. It's unpublished, which is probably for the best. Then she discovered contemporary romance, and that, as they say, was that. She lives near London with her husband and two children.
