Guest Post Book Boyfriends/Hot Men in Books by Clair Humphries.

For my blogaversary I asked the question, Who is your Book Boyfriend/Hot Men in Books?  I have some great responses, today Clair  talks about her book hero.

My book hero - David from 'Hens Dancing' by Raffaella Barker.

David the carpenter in 'Hens Dancing' by Raffaella Barker is the ultimate romantic hero, being both gorgeous (grey eyes and broad shoulders) and practical around the house.

The novel's heroine, Venetia, struggles to adapt to life post-divorce with three children and an endless list of domestic chores - drain rodding, pest control, an overgrown garden - which is where David steps in and wrestles order out of chaos. Unlike any carpenter in normal life, he proposes a series of projects and sees them all through without recourse to swearing, escalating costs or bottom cleavage. A fairy castle is constructed for the family dog and youngest daughter, The Beauty, to play in - a structure so striking that it lands the family their own slot on the local news! Handsome, handy and adored by her children, is it any wonder Venetia is won over by his charms? Not to mention his ultimate romantic gesture, on Valentine's day: creating a knot garden from scratch complete with immaculate box hedging, white gravel paths and strung with silvery stars...
